I just got back from seeing Moonrise Kingdom.. by myself!
1. It was incredible! It was funny, creative, charming, and unique. I loved every minute of it!
2. This was the first time in a while I’ve gone to a movie by myself, but there is something about doing things like that alone that adds a whole new element to them. I think in our culture we are afraid of doing anything alone. Even if we’re standing in line we have to have our phones out so it looks like we are talking to someone. What I have found is that enjoying things independently is a freeing, and refreshing experience. I saw a great movie, I laughed aloud, I had a great time, and I was by myself. It was awesome. So everyone should try it.
